There are a lot of youth baseball sanctioning bodies out there but not many New York teams/leagues/tournaments seem to be affiliated with them.

If there are New York teams/leagues/tournaments that are affiliated with any sanctioning body, please let us know by posting below.

What are the pros & cons of affiliating yourself with one of these national organizations?

Here are some sanctioning bodies that I've found.  I'm sure there are more but these seem to be the most popular ones nationwide...

American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC)
Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)
Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA)
National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF)
National Baseball Congress (NBC)
Super Series Baseball
United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA)

There is always little league. For the youth ball player who aren't able to make some of these travel teams. It also gives any town a chance to make it to international play. It levels the playing field with certain requirements. Not just who has the most attractive travel team.
It's the biggest youth organization in the world.
